This is such a perfectly simple snack! Okra is delicious by itself - but when you add some crunchy cornmeal, a bit of spice and pair with a tasty dipping sauce - it goes to the next level. You can make this snack in under 20 minutes - and, it’s one you can feel good about. Enjoy!

What do I need?

Garlic Tabasco Aioli

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 tablespoon garlic powder

Pinch of Salt + Pepper

1/8 cup tabasco sauce

Okra Breading

1 pound okra

1/2 tablespoon za’atar

1/4 cup cornmeal

4 tablespoons olive oil

How do I make these?

Step One: Make your aioli! Begin by combining 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder, a pinch of salt + pepper and 1/8 cup tabasco sauce in a food processor. Pulse until fully blended, and store in the refrigerator.

Step Two: Rinse your okra and cut the ends off. Place in a mixing bowl. To your okra, combine 1/2 tablespoon za’atar, 1/4 cup cornmeal, 4 tablespoons olive oil. Combine until okra is fully coated.

Step Three: Place okra on a baking sheet. If you are using an air-fryer - set to 400 degrees and cook for about 10 minutes. If you are baking in the oven, cook at 425 for 8-12 minutes. Serve with aioli and enjoy!
